Ford Motor Co., Honda, BMW and Volkswagen introduced a voluntary settlement with California this summer time to satisfy the state’s air air pollution goals despite the Trump administration’s proposal to freeze gas effectivity requirements at their present stage. The settlement has the four automakers agreeing to extend gasoline effectivity requirements by mannequin 12 months 2026, just six years away, to nearly 50 mpg (fleet common).
